Shep, the Life of a Farm Dog – Book by Ceil Baker Humphreys

My sister Ceil has finally finished a story she’s been working on for years, and it’s now published and available for purchase on Amazon — Shep, the Life of a Farm Dog. Parts of it made me laugh, and a tear or two fell during the tender parts of the story.

Jay, a kind farmer known for taking in lost and injured animals, finds a cold and hungry puppy who longs for a forever home. Jay cleans him up and starts training him to become a working sheepdog.

Along the way Shep meets new friends at the farm, hears the stories of the other animals, and learns that obedience to Jay’s commands can eventually lead to a huge reward.

Shep’s story is about being found, forgiven, and valued.

Both children and adults, and anyone who loves animals, will enjoy this story. It’s also a great read-aloud for younger children. Ceil’s desire is that it will be a blessing to your family.
