Historic Boston Sampler
Counted Cross Stitch Kit

When Boston journalist William Schofield first proposed connecting Boston's historic sites by a walking trail in the early 1950s, mayor John Hynes was quick to agree. By 1958, sixteen of the most significant sites were connected by a painted red line, and The Freedom Trail was born. This sampler of historic Boston incorporates nine of the Freedom Trail sites. From right to left, they are Park Street Church, King's Chapel, Old South Meeting House, Old State House, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere House, Old North Church, U.S.S. Constitution (Old Ironsides), and Bunker Hill Monument.

Finished size 23" by 6½" on 18 count Charles Craft fabric. Kit includes material, DMC floss, needle, instructions, and color photograph of finished project. Designed by Barbara Bangser for The Posy Collection with permission from The Freedom Trail Foundation.
